The construction of half-acre vegetable gardens in rural schools
A true solution, tested and sustainable, that not temporary or dependent on government aid
We work with children during the first 5 years of primary school.
Our goal is not only to provide food, but to demonstrate to the people in these communities how to begin producing their own food. By consolidating this new knowledge of vegetable cultivation, they can adopt a healthier diet.
The Huerta Nino foundation has developed a successful and sustainable model for the construction of these community school gardens in rural zones with very few resources.
This educational and productive solution addresses the health concerns and basic dangers of malnutrition in children, bringing forth an opportunity to live a better quality of life in the affected regions.
